Blumhouse has been hard at work on Halloween Kills , the second installment in their Laurie Strode/Michael Myers trilogy, and it looks like the studio’s just about ready to share the first look at our next Halloween trip to Haddonfield. In response to a fan asking about a teaser trailer for the movie on Twitter, producer Jason Blum had some encouraging news, which you can see for yourself down below: We are tweaking it. Venom 2 Might Be Delayed Now As Sony Shuffles Release Calendar

Venom was certainly a surprise smash hit for Sony back when it dropped into theaters in 2018. True, the studio no doubt had some confidence that a solo outing for a beloved anti-hero from the comics would do decent numbers, but it’s unlikely that anyone thought it would come close to earning $850 million at the box office. But against all odds, the film was a huge success and really kicked into gear Sony’s plans to create a Marvel universe of their own. After all, the first trailer for Morbius has already revealed some interesting ties to Spider-Man: Homecoming and it looks like the formation of the Sinister Six is about to take place , with the group likely to do battle with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the not too distant future. Or least, that  was  the plan. But now, it looks like things are a bit up in the air as to the timeline of when this will all go down. Venom 2 was set to land in October, with Andy Serkis getting behind the camera to replace Ruben Fleischer, ...

Morbius Delayed Until 2021 Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Sony and Marvel’s ongoing partnership has certainly been one of the most interesting subplots of recent comic book movies. There’ve been several highs and lows – if you’ll recall, last year it looked certain that Sony was about to walk away from the arrangement, until Disney and Marvel Studios were able to strike a new deal – and along the way, it’s paved the way for a different sort of superhero. I mean, just look at Tom Hardy’s Venom. The symbiote’s standalone outing was quite unlike anything we’ve seen in the genre for quite some time. And the same goes for Morbius , the Jared Leto-starring vampire flick which is shaping up to be pretty intriguing, too . But unfortunately, it now looks as if we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we can lay eyes on it, as Sony’s announced that they’ll be delaying it due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
