Ex-PM Rao would have felt vindicated by verdict

Had he been alive, the Babri case verdict that the demolition was not “pre-planned” would have brought a wry smile to the face of PV Narasimha Rao who faced severe criticism for the Dec 6, 1992 event, with some alleging that he was complicit in the mosque’s destruction. Rao felt the charge keenly and was at pains to argue that he had gone by the assurances of VHP and UP govt. from Times of India https://ift.tt/3n4YHQb

Netflix Reveals First Look At Chadwick Boseman’s Final Movie

Chadwick Boseman ‘s final movie is on its way to Netflix and tonight, the streaming giant revealed our very first look at it. The tragic death of the Black Panther  star last month rocked Hollywood and his millions of fans around the globe. As we know, he had been suffering from colon cancer for several years but because he kept his battle private – even from Marvel Studios and Disney – only those closest to him knew. And so, when the news broke that he had passed away, it caught almost everyone off guard as so few people were even aware that he was sick. During this time battling cancer, Boseman still worked hard and managed to complete his roles in a number of films, including one that’s yet to be released . That’d be Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,  an upcoming Netflix project helmed by George C. Wolf and based on the play by Pulitzer Prize winning writer August Wilson. Viola Davis takes the lead as real-life blues icon Ma Rainey, with Boseman stepping into the part of “ambit...

Ryan Reynolds Takes Jab At Dwayne Johnson With New Instagram Post

If there’s one thing the world knows about Ryan Reynolds , it’s that he’s a perpetual jokester who loves to poke fun at his friends and colleagues. For instance, the Canadian comedian’s long-term friendly rivalry with his buddy Hugh Jackman has offered years of hilarity as the two endlessly bicker with one another and go to great lengths to take potshots for the sake of humor . But on the set of his new movie Red Notice , Reynolds has found himself goofing off with his good pal Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. But rest assured that Johnson can dish it out just as easily as he takes it – something we’ve seen previously with his amusing back and forth interactions with Kevin Hart. Of course, Reynolds and Johnson have been good friends for around 15 years, so they’ve probably got plenty of inside jokes and know one another’s buttons quite well, giving them ample opportunity to crack jokes and keep the good times rolling. As a matter of fact, before production of Red Notice was originally sh...

Kit Harington Opens Up On His Gender-Fluid Childhood

On  Game of Thrones , Kit Harington played the lonely, taciturn and somber Jon Snow, whose status as a bastard child within the Stark household informed his aloof personality. In next year’s MCU film Eternals , he’s set to play the Black Knight , and a broody name like that might make you assume he’ll be a similarly gloomy hero. Well, a new interview with the actor hints that this may not be the case. Speaking with The Telegraph, Harington revealed that his parents raised him in what he describes as a “gender-fluid” environment, saying: “I idolised my mum. I followed her around the house. It was because of her that I wanted to be an actor. She used to take us to the theatre at least twice a week. I asked for a Mighty Max and she bought me a Polly Pocket. I asked for an Action Man and I got a doll – it was very gender-fluid from the word go. And I went with it.” New Eternals Set Photos Reveal Close-Up Look At Kit Harington's Black Knight 1 of 5     Cl...

Mark Hamill Says The Presidential Debate Was Worse Than Star Wars Holiday Special

Much loved and presumably still embarrassing for a lot of folks, the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special is famous for its strange creative decisions, Bea Arthur, Lumpy and much more. Despite its reputation, though, it’s actually led to a lot of surprising Star Wars tie-ins and in-jokes, with a reference to Life Day even making its way into the first episode of The Mandalorian . For those unfamiliar, the Star Wars Holiday Special was produced to fill the gap between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back , airing on November 17th, 1978 on CBS. To say the least, it turned out to be a hot mess and probably something that Lucasfilm wishes had never happened. But happen it did and for better or for worse, everyone still remembers it. As bad as it was, though, it apparently wasn’t on the same level as last night’s presidential debate. Or so says Mark Hamill, who took to Twitter following the event to share that it was “the worst thing” he’s ever seen. And as he reminds us, he was in the...

The United States embarrassed itself before the world for nearly 100 minutes with a “Presidential debate” that was akin to mud-wrestling. Incumbent President Donald Trump walked all over the Democratic challenger Joe Biden with frequent, hectoring interruptions that often left the latter befuddled. from Times of India https://ift.tt/3cJd343

Watch: Netflix Drops First A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting Trailer

In these dark times, we can all use something fun to distract us from the pre-apocalyptic hellscape slowly catching fire outside our windows, and such an offering has arrived in the form of A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting , a trailer for which is now available. The story follows teenager Kelly (Tamara Smart, Artemis Fowl ) as she reluctantly agrees to babysit on Halloween. Unfortunately, her young charge Jacob’s belief that monsters are coming for him proves correct, and the young boy is kidnapped by a Boogeyman named the Grand Guignol (Tom Felton, Harry Potter ). Kelly is subsequently inducted into the Order of the Babysitters, a worldwide secret society of teenagers who protect young children from the things under the bed that want to steal their special powers, and they set out to rescue Jacob before his mum gets home. The movie, which after this year’s The Baby-Sitters Club and The Babysitter: Killer Queen could well cause havoc with Netflix’s search algorithms, is ada...

New Disney Plus Ad Suggests Spider-Man Movies Are On The Way

One of the big bonuses of Disney Plus is that it features every MCU movie – well, almost every MCU movie. Sure, all of the films made by Marvel Studios since 2008 are available to stream on the service, but neither of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man flicks are up on the site. This is obviously because Sony owns the distribution rights to these, due to the unique collaboration between the two studios that made them a possibility, but a new D+ ad suggests this could be about to change. As CobaltPanther first pointed out on Reddit, a banner for the site found on the official Disney Store website features posters of five MCU pics – Black Panther,   Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Endgame  AND  Spider-Man: Far From Home.  That last one’s a surprising inclusion, as the 2019 sequel is not currently found on D+, neither is it scheduled to drop anytime soon, as far as we know. But maybe we can take this as our first hint that Disney has worked out a deal w...

Jim Parsons Reveals That He Had COVID-19

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has made 2020 a pretty horrible year, and as global infection numbers continue climbing beyond 33.5 million, the world remains in a state of unrest and frustration. These negative effects have impacted every facet of life, too, including the entertainment industry, wherein hundreds of productions have been halted various times and plenty of celebrities have been infected with the virus . During a virtual interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , actor Jim Parsons revealed that he and his husband Todd Spiewak tested positive for COVID-19 early on in the pandemic, though both have now recovered. He shared that he didn’t think much of his initial symptoms because they resembled a typical cold, but as the more unique symptoms of the virus began occurring, such as loss of taste and smell, he knew things weren’t quite right. Tom and I both had it early on, it was like middle of March. We didn’t know what it was. We thought we had colds. And ...

John Cena Reportedly Eyed For Duke Nukem Live-Action Movie

Duke Nukem is one of the most iconic video game characters ever. As such, it was only a matter of time before he received a well-earned big screen adaptation. For decades, studios have been kicking the tires on a possible film centred around the hyper-masculine hero, but nothing ever panned out. Now, however, it looks like a movie may actually be in the works, and the project apparently has its eyes on a big time star. Paramount was said to be developing the pic a couple of years ago and according to our sources – the same ones who told us the Fast & Furious franchise is headed to outer space , and a Witcher prequel is in development at Netflix – John Cena is being considered to play the titular role in the upcoming feature. The WWE legend has been trying to break into Hollywood for a while now with roles in Trainwreck and the Daddy’s Home franchise, while lately he’s been accepting more prominent parts in movies such as Bumblebee , F9 , Dolittle and more. Not to mention h...

Understandably, a lot of people are buzzing about the pic and that includes Gwyneth’s own daughter, Apple Martin.
