Maldives police have arrested two serving ministers for allegedly performing black magic on President Mohamed Muizzu, local media reported on Thursday. Lukas McClish, 34, from Boulder Creek, California, is back home after spending 10 days lost in the Santa Cruz Mountains, according to ABC 7 Los Angeles. A criminal who had evaded arrest for over a decade fell for a honey trap laid by the Delhi Police in which a male constable posed as a woman on a social media platform, officials said on Thursday. The constable created a fake Instagram handle to lure 45-year-old Bunty, accused in 20 cases of snatching theft, possession of illegal arms and bootlegging at different police stations in Delhi, they said. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested a key accused from Imphal airport in a case of a transnational conspiracy by insurgents and terrorist groups to exploit the Manipur situation and spread terror in the northeastern state. Thongminthang Haokip alias Thangboi Haokip alias Roger, a member of the Kuki National Front-Military Council (KNF-MC), was arrested under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or UAPA, in a case filed by the NIA on its own (suo moto) on July 19 last year, the NIA said in a statement. "The conspiracy had been hatched by Kuki and Zomi insurgents backed by terrorist organisations based in the northeastern states and in neighbouring Myanmar with the aim to exploit the current ethnic unrest in the region and wage war against the government of India through violent attacks, as per NIA investigations," it said. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has been called to Delhi by the BJP leadership a day before the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha election, people with direct knowledge of the matter told NDTV today. Mr Singh left state capital Imphal by flight at 3.15 pm today, sources said. His visit to Delhi also comes after floods damaged many areas in Imphal valley and some in the hill districts, leaving the state in need of relief funds.
