Sri Lanka's newly appointed President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Tuesday signed the special gazette notification ordering the dissolution of parliament, officials said. The use of pagers appears to be an extension of this method of keeping communications to the most basic to avoid being intercepted and tracked. It is not yet fully known how exactly the pagers were made to explode . The idea of One Country One Election -- under discussion for long in the corridors of parliament -- will be implemented during the current tenure of the Narendra Modi government, sources have said. The top commanders of the Indian Navy will hold a meeting to review the security situation in and around the country from Tuesday amid growing instability in the region.  The regime change in Bangladesh and an increasing influence of extremist radical groups there is one of the emerging security concerns that is expected to come up for discussion at the meeting. A 42-year-old Punjabi singer has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a racket that sent people to the US on fake visas, officials said on Thursday. Fatehjit Singh, a resident of Punjab's Jalandhar, was arrested from the Indira Gandhi (IGI) airport in Delhi on Wednesday, they said, adding that the accused and other members of the racket were trying to send a passenger to the United States via the "dunki" route. Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI) Usha Rangnani said during interrogation, the accused revealed that he had studied up to Class 12 and is a singer by profession. He also told police that he has participated in shows across the world. The accused came in contact with an agent, Sultan Singh, who used to dupe people on the pretext of sending them to the US, and started working with him to earn quick money, the DCP said. A 30-year-old woman from Mumbai has been arrested by Telangana's Cyber Security Bureau for allegedly trafficking youth from India to Cambodia to be kept as cyber slaves there. The woman, who worked with the director of a Chinese-owned company, was paid Rs 30,000 for every person that she managed to trick and send to the country.  'Cyber slave' is a term used for youth who are taken to a country by deceit, after being promised a legal employment opportunity, and are forced to participate in cyber frauds, sometimes under a threat of violence and confinement. Their passports are taken away, shutting off any way of returning home, and they are told there is a contractual obligation to stay. Sometimes, they are also 'sold' to other agents, often Chinese, for a price.
