Here’s What Woody Harrelson’s Carnage Could Look Like In The Venom Sequel

When we first learned that Sony had a Venom movie in development a few years back, many folks’ minds immediately jumped to the question of whether that meant that fan favorite villain Carnage would also be making his way to the big screen as well.

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. At least, not fully. Sure, the post-credits scene of the film did tease that the character was on the way, but we didn’t get to see him in the flesh and won’t until the sequel hits theaters. Naturally, though, fans have been offering their own artistic renderings of what Cletus Cassidy, aka Carnage, could look like in live-action for months now, and this latest edit comes to us from Instagram user Datrinti.

Seen in the gallery down below, it’s a frightening rendition of the villain and we wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being pretty close to what we see in Venom 2. Even if it doesn’t, though, it’s a nice reminder that Carnage is coming.

Speaking of which, how much you’re looking forward to another helping of Eddie Brock will depend heavily on what you thought of his critically panned but extremely profitable solo outing. If you weren’t too into the first film’s PG-13 rating though, then you probably won’t be running to the theater to catch the sequel.

Even despite Cletus’ backstory as a serial killer, producer Avi Arad explained last year that Venom 2 doesn’t need to get too gory to capture the psychological essence of Carnage, saying:

“When you hear Carnage, the only thing you can think of is R. But, if you know his story, if you really know the comic, there’s no R here. He’s a tortured soul. It’s not about what he does, because we never have to show the knife going from here to there, and the blood is pouring. What you have to show is, what is the motivation? Was he born like that, or [is he] someone we should feel for, because if you succeeding in making a villain someone you can feel for, jackpot.”

The producer’s vision of a family-friendly Carnage might not go over too well with fans, then, but it’ll be put to the test when Venom 2 arrives in theaters in 2020.

Listen To Indian Muslims' "Mann Ki Baat": Jama Masjid Shahi Imam To PM

Jama Masjid's Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari on Friday expressed concerns over the "storm of hatred" in the country, and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to listen to the 'Mann Ki Baat' of Muslims. Citing recent incidents like the Nuh riots and the killing of four persons by a railway police jawan on a running train, Ahmed Bukhari suggested in his Friday sermon at the historic mosque that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah hold dialogue with intellectuals from the community. "I have been compelled to speak due to the existing situation in the country. The situation in the country is worrisome and a storm of hatred is posing grave danger to peace in the country," Ahmed Bukhari said. "You say your 'Mann Ki Baat' but you also need to listen to the 'Mann Ki Baat' of Muslims. The Muslims are troubled due to the prevailing conditions and worried about their future," Ahmed Bukhari said, referring to PM Modi's monthly radio pro...
