Cong made Channi ‘stopgap’ CM to tap Dalit votes: BJP

Citing Congress leader Sunil Jakhar’s remarks on the statement of AICC Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat that the state polls will be fought under Sidhu, BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted, “This is a huge insult to the entire Dalit community if Charanjit Singh Channi has been made the CM, only to hold the seat for Navjot Singh Sidhu.” He said, “This completely undermines the Dalit empowerment narrative being peddled by Congress.”
