Breakthrough drug promises longer lives for man's best friend

A biotech company called Loyal plans to conduct a large clinical trial to test a revolutionary drug disguised as a sweet treat that has the potential to extend the lives of dogs by at least a year. The trial, which is set to involve 1,000 dogs over the age of 10, aims to determine if the drug can actually increase lifespan and improve the quality of life for older dogs. The identity of the drug is being kept secret until the trial concludes for commercial reasons.
